The Dunstable in Bloom campaign is organised and managed by Dunstable in Bloom in partnership with Dunstable Town Council. Dunstable in Bloom brings together many of the volunteer groups operating throughout the town, with the aim of undertaking projects which promote Dunstable and improve its environment.
So, what has Dunstable in Bloom achieved since 2010? The list is endless but here are a few highlights:
14 golds, 2 silver gilts, Large Town Category for Britain in Bloom in 2022, and overall Winner of Anglia in Bloom in 2025.
Organised an annual In Bloom competition for best front gardens, baskets, containers, allotments, schools and community projects.
Encouraged local people and businesses to work together
Supported the Town Council in their Anglia in Bloom entries over the years, culminating in the winning of Britain in Bloom for the Anglia Region in 2022, and overall winner of Anglia in Bloom in 2025.
Planted bulbs and trees in public spaces – this year, 2025, we will be supporting the planting of some 48,000 bulbs as part of the Town Council’s 40th Anniversary year.
Helped maintain the town’s floral displays.
Support our Dunstable Womble’s litter picking community to help maintain a tidier town.
Celebrated and encouraged local projects and organisation including Incredible Edible Dunstable, the local Wildlife trust managing Blow’s Down, Priory View Independent Living, Priory Park residents Lowther Road Community Garden, the Physic Border volunteers in Priory Gardens, The Friends of Dunstable Cemetery to name but a few.
We have achieved so much because of the wonderful community we have around us – together we have achieved great results and we hope to be able to continue this for years to come.
